UV rays
The harmful effects of UV rays on our eyes are well-known. They can cause temporary discomfort: glare, blurred vision and inflammation, etc.. But, in the long run, they are responsible for irreversible damage, as they contribute to the premature aging of the eye and development of cataracts. Blue-violet light
Blue light is beneficial for health, in regulating our biological clock. But part of the blue light spectrum, the ‘blue-violet’ light is harmful to the eye. Emitted naturally by the sun, these rays are also emitted by our televisions, computer screens, tablets, mobile phones and games consoles… Children and people aged over 45 are most susceptible to its harmful effects. There are specific new lenses with the technical characteristics to filter part of this blue-violet light. Dealing with low vision or visual impairment
There are visual aids that allow people with low vision to see certain details that they cannot perceive with their residual vision, enabling them to do certain activities previously not possible.
